Advanced Investment Partners LLC was incorporated in May 1996 as Advanced Investment Technology, Inc. In 1997, the Firm initiated a partnership with State Street Global Alliance, a division within State Street Global Advisors, a subsidiary of State Street Bank & Trust. In 2001, Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP joined State Street Global Advisors in its Global Alliance ownership stake in the Firm. At the end of 2002, the Firm converted from a ‘C’ corporation to a limited liability company and began doing business as Advanced Investment Partners LLC.

In April 2009, the senior employee partners of Advanced Investment Partners entered into an agreement with Wayne Hummer Asset Management Company, a subsidiary of Wintrust Financial Corporation to purchase certain assets and assume certain liabilities of Advanced Investment Partners, LLC. All existing Firm employees moved to this new partnership, which assumed the name of Advanced Investment Partners, LLC.   Advanced Investment Partners employees and directors own 52% of the firm and Wayne Hummer Asset Management Company owns the balance.

Our products have outperformed their benchmarks since inception in line with our expected information ratios, we have continued to pursue new and profitable research goals, and we have been able to expand our product offering by developing a suite of products that meet client-specific needs.
